Kushal Lodha

PhD Candidate, Cosmology

About me

I am a fourth year Ph.D. student at the Cosmology group in the Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute (KASI), working with Prof. Arman Shafieloo. I work at the intersection of Cosmology and Statistical Techniques.

Before joining CosKASI, I received my Integrated Masters in Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. Apart from work I like Philosophy and Urdu Poetry, and watching World Cinema.

Research Interests

I work on large scale structure analyses in DESI, constraining dark energy and testing gravity with data-driven statistical methods and robust inference.

I am an active member of the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI) and Vera Rubin (former LSST) Dark Energy Science (DESC) Collaborations. I am mostly involved in the analysis of large scale structure data, and constraining the properties of dark energy and modified theories of gravity through various cosmological datasets.
